DORJE YUDRONMA

Protector of the Zangthal Nyinthig lineage. Goddess of divination, natural healing, woods, meadows, and wildflowers. Known as the “Turquoise Lamp” she is a land protector and a guardian of nature. In this depiction, she has the demeanor and dress of a Carpathian mountain healer. She holds a mirror and an arrow, symbols of the practices of divination and lucency she embodies.

This statue of Dorje Yudronma was dedicated in the grounds of Tsogyelgar centre on the Summer Solstice 2022. The original image was created by artist Anna Lieb- Dubino. From this, the German sculptor Erik Staub cast her into form. While at Tsogylegar she was painted by B Love Davis and Judith Way. Directed throughout by the vision of Traktung Khepa, the statue of Dorje Yudronma was empowered and rests on a purpose-built waterfall and lake in Michigan. Here she resides over the rocks and waters, flowers and frogs. From dawn until dusk she is enshrined by the sparkling sound of water tumbling through rocks.

A creative process with many stages results in the opening of space for devotional contemplation. A place of practice emerges. Devotional statues and sacred groves are not so common these days. However, there is no reason for this to be so, when playful creativity abounds.

Awareness, unconditioned, does not become consciousness. It does not accept the implication of observer and observed. It refuses the accusation of territory, achievement, the noise of concepts. Mind without center or circumference is Silence. Perception without Point of View is pure pleasure. And, in that, Silence transforms body into tremendous sensitivity discovering the expanse of freedom where appearance is known in luminous joy. In this freedom, body comes to know natural meaning, purpose. Human beings, in their deep meaning, are the stem cells of nature becoming what is needed to steward with care and delicacy.
